Cecelia Osowski, CD (DONA)

Cecelia grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. In 2006 she  moved to Pennsylvania to attend Swarthmore College and became connected  to the Philadelphia area.  After exploring work in several different  fields including teaching English, working in a Haitian orphanage,  teaching middle school, and nannying, she was introduced to doula work  by her friend Hana Lehmann. She found doula work to be a an  exciting combination of her passions for education, advocacy, and  nurturing young families and trained through DONA international to  become a birth and postpartum doula.  In addition to being a Birth  Doula, she also works as a childbirth educator at Lifecycle WomanCare,  formerly The Birth Center, in Bryn Mawr,  PA where she teaches  Preparation for Childbirth classes for first-time parents.

Cecelia lives in Philadelphia, and in her spare time she enjoys  reading everything she can get her hands on, cooking for friends,  coaxing a garden from her Philadelphia backyard, crocheting, and playing  the cello.

Cecelia is taking a break from doula work after welcoming her own baby this past Spring.
