Lila Backenstose, CD(DONA)

Lila lives in Conshohocken with her husband and 3 children. She attended  Millersville University and Bloomsburg University to obtain an  undergraduate degree in Mathematics: Statistics. After 8 years in  marketing analytics, she went looking for a meaningful career change while  She was a SAHM. As she began researching avenues to improve support for  women, she dove into the doula world. And, she was overjoyed to find that  doula work is the ‘heart work’ that she had been searching for. Helping  women feel prepared and non-judgmentally supported throughout pregnancy,  labor and beyond is my lifelong passion. She believes women know their own  bodies and she encourages them to trust their instincts. My doula work  facilitates stronger bonds between the birthing couple as well as closer  parent/baby connections. She understands first-hand the challenges of  mothers heading back to work as well as the challenges of what it means  to “Stay at Home”. Her hope is for every birthing person to be  comfortable and confident in their decisions. She is trained and certified  as a birth doula through DONA International. She is also a trained  postpartum doula. She loves traveling, coaching, reading and family time.
