Nikki Graham, CLE, CMT, CD (DONA)

Nikki began her “birth and babies” career in succession with the  birth of her first child in 1999. Feeling incredibly supported and  encouraged, first by her own midwife, and subsequently by the La Leche  League Leaders who led support group meetings for breastfeeding moms,  she was inspired to give back. She enthusiastically pursued LLL  Leadership status, and was awarded recognition as a Leader in the year  2000. While still active as a LLL Leader, Nikki decided to further her  lactation education by enrolling in UCLA Extension’s Lactation Educator  Training Program in 2003. Upon completion of the 44-hour program, she  was awarded the designation Certified Lactation Educator.

Nikki attended her first birth in February 2009. In March, 2011, she  began pursuing birth doula certification through DONA International. She  completed the requirements for certification in August, 2011, and finds  herself ever inspired and rewarded by the work that comes from  providing this kind of support to families. In addition to the training  and experience Nikki has received both as a lactation educator and a  birth doula, she has found that her earlier training as a massage  therapist and health educator has proven immensely beneficial in those  roles. She received recognition as a Certified Massage Therapist and  Health Educator through the National Holistic Institute in Emeryville,  CA in 1995. She also trained with the Foundation for Healthy Family  Living in Sonoma, CA through their 30.9-hour course, Instructor  Certificate Training for Infant Massage in 2003.

Nikki joined the Lifecycle Women Care's team in 2012. She currently, she serves as their Director of 

Outside of work, you will most likely find Nikki schlepping around  the two of her children who still live at home (she has two other grown  children), or hiking in the woods with her her dogs Stanley and Opal.  Nikki and her husband, David, bonded over hiking many moons ago, and  haven’t stopped since!

Nikki is currently taking a hiatus from attending as a doula but provides back-up doula coverage.
